Volunteer and join the healing mission at St. Clare Hospital and Health Services! Volunteers provide support and assistance to help provide the best possible health care throughout the hospital. Your individual skills and abilities are matched with current openings as a part of the St. Clare Hospital and Health Services team.

 

There are so many benefits of volunteering. Volunteers enjoy new friendships; it increases self worth, improves self confidence, and develops new skills! Some volunteers get started on a lifelong medical career from their experiences.

 

Requirements for becoming an Adult volunteer:

 

• A commitment to at least 3 months of scheduled volunteer work, you may volunteer as little as twice a month or as much as a few times each week.
• Provide the hospital’s employee health nurse with a health history, including record of immunizations and a TB test.
• Complete a Background Information Disclosure
• Attend the General Orientation Program, as well as the Service Area Orientation program. These help you become familiar with the hospital and the hospital procedures. 

As an adult volunteer, perhaps you would enjoy working with patients, filing records, giving tours, escorting patients to x-ray or physical therapy, greeting visitors, or any number of other tasks that volunteers perform. Based on your interests and the hospital's needs, you would be assigned to one of these service areas:

- Audiology

- Hospitality Desk

- Physical Therapy
- Health Information Services
- Environmental Services
- Golden Care
- Patient Accounting
- Emergency Department
- Childbirth Center

- Care Corp Volunteers (assist patients, families, and staff)
- Tommy Bartlett Child Care Center
- St. Clare Center
- Library
- Print Shop

- Patient Admissions
